Thesis:The aim of this paper is to examine what the World Trade Organization (WTO) is and why it is important in the international market. WTO is a global membership group that promotes and manages free trade. The WTO was born out of GATT, an international trade agreement signed by 23 countries in 1947. It manages free trade in a number of different ways. The focus will be on how WTO manages existing multilateral trade agreements, resolves trade debates, and manage ongoing negotiations for new trade agreements… (8 references)
