Course Project

Each team will complete a course project: submit a project proposal report in the middle of the semester and submit a final report and give a project presentation at the end of the semester. This project requires each team choose a real business / life problem (business problem, or problem you have at work, at home, in school, you learn from other people, etc.) and use business analytics methods learnt in this course to solve the problem.

Requirement of the project report:

1. Report should be no more than (exclude cover page, reference and appendix page).
2. Report should follow the format and style of the project report template (reporttemplate will be provided later in the semester

for our project we are doing amazon.

What is required: Accounting section analysis and use of analytics to show the current standing of amazons accounting and provide predictions of the future.

I need 3 pages of written explanation and a power point both explaining how the use of analytics such as scatter charts, and data on an excel document to show the prediction and current standing of amazons accounting. explanation of the excel functions and why this approach to the data be beneficial to predict the future and analyze current.

• The objective of this project is to explore Amazon as a whole and see what Amazon’s data says about their business, their successes and potential pitfalls, and how Amazon will look in the future.

• All the conventional accounting analysis from the shareholder data.
• primarily focused on good profit accounts, low debt, liquidity, assets turnover.

E-commerce profit and loss account which include:

• Net sales
• Gross earnings and cost of sales, operational expenditures and depreciation.
• Amazon balance sheet.
• growing segment sales and a higher gross margin
• factors that may impact Amazon’s finances and balance sheet
• Economic and political variables
• currency trading limitations
• inventory optimization
• Invoicing Currency
