Overview

In this module, our tour of transnational crime brings us to the exploration of the various features of transnational crime in Asia and the Middle East. You will explore the long history of organized crime in these areas, and study the trafficking of persons and transnational crimes concerning organized crime.

Upon successful completion of this module, you will be able to:

• Analyze the root causes of the recent increase in transnational organized crime in Asia
• Analyze the root or contributing causes of transnational organized crime in the Middle East
• Explain the major sources of organized crime in Asia and the Middle East
• Examine the prevalence and scope of human trafficking
