To apply the concepts of social psychology to contemporary issues.

Project overview

For your final project, you will be using concepts in social psychology to address a current global, national, or local event. You can create an INFOGRAPHIC, make a PSA/short video, a social media page, build a website- whatever you want that you can turn in via Canvas but YOU CANNOT WRITE A PAPER OR USE POWERPOINT OR ANY SIMILAR SOFTWARE. If you submit your final project as a paper or Powerpoint you will not receive credit. As long as you have the required information, the way it is presented is really up to you. Everything must be in your own words and you need to have at least 5 sources cited in APA style (Links to an external site.) (Wikipedia is not a source):

• Definition/history of the issue and a summary of why this issue is relevant today.
• Discuss 2-3 concepts in social psychology that help explain the issue
• Current statistics/figures indicating why this is an issue of importance.
• Discussion of what is currently being done to address the issue
• 2-3 evidence-based strategies for addressing the issue
• 1-2 ways individuals can make a difference
