Discussion: Autonomic Receptors and Medicine

For this Discussion, you should read Chapter 2 from your textbook for this class (Costanzo, Physiology) then write your post on “Why a good understanding of autonomic physiology is imperative in medicine and disease treatment”. Your post should;

1. Describe neurotransmitters and receptors of the autonomic nervous system.
2. Choose one (1) receptor and describe its location(s) and the physiologic effects of its stimulation.
3. Describe a pharmacologic agent that targets this receptor and the disease it is used in treating.

you will need to write a minimum of 400 words and use a minimum of 2 scholarly citations in AMA format. the book can be used as of the two citations. I will attach the book below (you will read chapter 2)
