English Question

You will probably find yourself having to write in reaction to something in college. The “thing” can be a short story, poem, film, piece of art, or something else entirely, but the goal is always the same: engage with the “thing”, analyze, argue, and construct a strong set of ideas about “it”. Choose one prompt from below and remember: consider your audience when writing (will your audience affect the style or language of your writing?), use proper MLA formatting (there is an MLA section in your Hodges Harbrace Handbook. I have also uploaded a resource in BlackBoard), and carefully draft your writing, using what you know already and what we have read so far in Hodges Harbrace. Remember, essays must be submitted as a word document, and the format of the essay must be double-spaced and 12 pt. font. Refer to the resources in previous modules on BlackBoard.
